Hello world!

Hi there! My name is Laynie and welcome to my blog! This is my first time ever writing something publicly, so I hope this isn’t too terrible.

First, let me tell you about myself. As I said (and as in the title of this blog), my name is Laynie. I am a 20-something living in Indianapolis with my rescue doodle, Hermione. We bought our first home in January of this year and it’s been such a humbling but rewarding time for us. There will likely be upcoming posts about home-related projects and decorating!

I enjoy being outdoors, hiking, kayaking and exploring my city. I am an avid reader and traveler. Over the last few years, traveling has become a much bigger passion of mine. Next year, I have trips to Iceland and Toronto planned. Don’t worry, I cannot wait to share some of those details with you! My TBR list is longer than my home project list, which is saying something. If you have any book suggestions, I’m always looking for more to add.

I decided to start a blog because writing has become quite therapeutic for me. I journal regularly and felt that I can perhaps contribute elsewhere. This blog is about my life. You can expect some stories, advice, failures, achievements and everything in between.
